DHIU gives utmost
importance to its academic quality and educational
programs. In all its activities such as student’s
admission, appointments of faculties, formation
and frequent revision of syllabus and curricula,
DHIU compromise only with the quality and merit.
1-Curriculum and Syllabus
The twelve-year study offered by DHIU is divided
into four levels: a five-year secondary, two-year
senior secondary, three-year Degree and two-year
PG. The syllabus contains all relevant Islamic
and modern subjects like the Quran, H?adith,
Fiqh, Methodologies of Tafsir, Tasawwuf, Nahw,
Aqidah, Mantiq, Islamic history, Arabic literature,
Rhetoric and prosody, translation and composition,
history of Islamic civilization, Science and technology,
Mathematics, social sciences, Computer and Information
Technology, etc. Enough attention is paid to make
the students well acquainted in four languages
- Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam. DHIU curriculum
makes it mandatory for every undergraduate student
to pursue an official degree course in any of
the Arts or Humanities subjects utilizing the
prevailing Open University Systems run by many
universities, including IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National
Open University). DHIU PG level studies are devoted
for specialization, allowing students to excel
in areas of their interest in various Islamic
fields. DHIU confers the honorific title of ‘Al-Hudawi’
on every student upon the successful completion
of its twelve-year continuous stream of studies.

2-Extra and Co-Curricular
Activities
Apart from a strong and effective academic curriculum,
DHIU model of education ensures that every student
undergoes various extra and co-curricular activities
during his course of study. The education system
provides immense room for the development and
enrichment of writing and speaking skills, brushing
up of multi-talents and interests, and nurturing
creativity and productivity among the students.
There are separate weekly sessions for fine-tuning
the oratory skills, as there are provisions for
preparing and releasing hand-written magazines
in various languages, in literary fields and science.
Occasional lectures by eminent personalities,
multi-colored and purpose-oriented programs, sports
activities, yearly competitions in various literary
and sports categories, study tours and picnics,
etc, are also conducted in order to help its students
learn out of formal syllabus.
