ASAs, Al-Huda
Students Association, is the student’s
union of DHIU. It actively works for enriching
the multi-faceted resources and potentials
of the student. ASAs takes the helm of
all cultural and literacy programs conducted
in the campus. The union has 12 sub-committees
to take care of different kinds of activities.
The Islamic information cell, Students
Resource Development Board, Speakers Forum,
Publishing Bureau and Editorial Board
are the prominent among them.
The union undertakes major Islamic Da‘wah
projects providing practical training
and experience in the field of Da‘wah
at global level. The Students Resource
Board takes the leading role in conducting
literacy conferences, seminaries, debates
and symposiums on current issues and subjects.
The Clubs of Arabic, English, Urdu and
Malayalam languages, Press Club, IT Club,
and GK Club are the major wings of this
Board.
The publication wing of ASAs has so far
published hundreds of books, CDs, pamphlets
and Islamic bulletins on various subjects
and issues. A separate editorial board
is working for enriching the writing skills
of the students supervising hand writing
magazines in four languages; The Dawn
in English, Aftab in Urdu, Vibhatam in
Malayalam and Al-Huda in Arabic and science
magazine, Shasthradeepam.
The Islamic Da‘wah portal www.islamonsite.com
and Malayalam monthly Thelitcham
are two most significant initiatives of
ASAs .
